ATTENTION ALL U.S.A. PLAYERS: Any player who resides in the United States is eligible to register for any Ontario Minor Lacrosse Association of their choice, regardless of their port of entry into Canada. New Section 1 Page 2 In order to play lacrosse, you must register with St. Catharines (SCMLA) and the Ontario Lacrosse Association (OLA) through the Sportzsoft registration system. We also request that if you don’t have a SportsEngine account at scmla.ca, that you create one in order to stay up-to-date on all lacrosse announcements and news within our association. Instructions on how to complete both are outlined below: 1. OLA Registration - Sportzsoft System: This step is your OLA registration where you will upload your proof of age and pay your registration and try-out fees (rep-teams only). 1. Each player will be required to have a proof of age document in digital format to upload to their registration (in jpeg or pdf format) and credit card payment will be accepted on-line to complete the registration. New Players: Players/Families who are new to playing lacrosse for St. Catharines, need to create a new account in Sportzsoft by clicking the “Sign Up as New Member”. You will then be able to set up an account and add one or numerous children under your account. Please be prepared with the following: **Please note if you are a parent registering a child that is new but you have other children that have played with us, you can log-into your previous account and add an additional child to your account under the Profile tab. You will need to upload a proof of age document for this new player only. Proof of Age Documents: The OLA will accept a Birth Certificate, Passport, or Nexus card as a proof of age document. You will need to take a clear picture of the full face of the document, ensuring the name and date of birth are clear and save the picture on the device you are using to complete the online registration. Ensure the document is saved as a jpeg or pdf and then upload it to the system when prompted. Returning Players: If you have previously registered for St. Catharines through the Sportzsoft system in the past 2 seasons, please do not create a new account. Please use the same account as you used previously so that the players proof of age and all registration notes follow the player. If you’ve forgotten your password, please use the “Forgot login” button to retrieve your log-in information. Once logged in, click on the Registrations tab - you will see passed registrations. Click on “New Registration, then choose the appropriate player/participant and click “Next” (on the bottom far right). Now you select the appropriate Product from the drop-down menu (read and choose carefully to ensure you register for the correct product). Reminder: Registration is not complete until you are paid in full. No player will be permitted on the floor without having completed registration (with required proof of age document) and being paid in full. No player will be permitted on the floor with outstanding registration fees and fines to SCMLA from the previous lacrosse season. 2.
